Why English Is Hard To Learn

We'll begin with box, and the plural is boxes;
But the plural of ox should be oxen, not oxes.

Then one fowl is goose, but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.

You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice,
Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.

If the plural of man is always called men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?

The cow in the plural may be cows or kine,
But the plural of vow is vows, not vine.

I speak of my foot and show you my feet,
If I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?

If one is a tooth, and a whole set are teeth,
Why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?

If the singular is this and the plural is these,
Why shouldn't the plural of kiss be named kese?

Then one may be that, and three may be those,
Yet the plural of hat would never be hose;

We speak of a brother, and also of brethren,
But though we say mother, we never say methren.

The masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
But imagine the feminine she, shis, and shim!

Should you hire a private investigator?

The thoughts and feelings of mistrust can make or break a marriage. Some folks, due to bad past experiences can be very skeptical and have high levels of anxieties only into a new relationship. Types of behavior like jealousy can lead to snooping which in turn can tear a relationship apart. You could just be paranoid, or is there something really there? It could be time to hire a private investigator to put your mind at ease.

Black Gaffers Tape

black gaffers tape

92 years ago, while painting an automobile, Richard Drew faced a problem on how to paint color stripes side-by-side without messing the border in between. As a solution, Richard then took a paper strip and placed adhesive on it. He then carefully covered the middle part so they can continue painting the stripes with ease. It was that time that the masking tape was first invented.

If only Mr. President would also mention Cebu City's Post Office in his SONA.

Finally, there is a President that confirms the corruption within Philippines Bureau of Customs.

President NoyNoy Aquino's latest SONA, the 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) Monday, July 22, by President Benigno Aquino III is one step up for change. It was, for me, very impressive. The way he presents the information and the numbers related to our economy could easily be understood. Congratz President NoyNoy! The unforgettable part? A slap in the face for the Bureau of Customs! LOL. We all know there is something wrong inside that bureau. So many years, so many presidents, none ever tried to change it. Good thing we have NoyNoy looking into it now. Let us end the culture of corruption!

But wait, I am not satisfied yet!

If only Mr. President would also mention Cebu City's Post Office in his SONA. Sometimes though, little things can be easily be overlooked. :C

Hello Mr. President, I hope you are reading this, can you please also include our Post Office Cebu Branch? Salamat po!

Is this a government institution? I am not sure if it is..

Based on my own experience. An ordinary Filipino citizen just want to have a Postal ID, but unfortunately did not continue, because after I finished all my requirements.... the most unforgettable thing happened. Even until now, I still cant get over it! huhu

According to the form downloaded on their website here, clearly, it says

  • One Hundred Seventy Five Pesos (P175.00) for the fee therefore

But why? Displayed on the board, in a printed tarpaulin where you can see all the requirements, it says P338.00.

But why again? near the cashier, posted in a plain white bond paper, it says P558.00 for rush?

With limited budget and considering I am not in a hurry to get the ID,so I said I can go for the P338.00.

But why and why?!!! They dont accept P338.00 payment anymore, because only the P558.00 is available if you want a Postal ID!

I hope somebody else out there shares the same story as mine, so we can atleast try to change this.

If this is correct and I am the one that is mistaken or maybe I just did not try well to comprehend the information that was available to me, then I hope somebody can explain this, because in my own point of view, this is very misleading.

And one more thing, they wont give you the form if you dont have the requirements completed yet. Also, I have heard that there are people now having issues about their SSS checks. I dont have the complete details yet, but I believe these matters should be looked upon before it gets worse.

Empathy Needed from Comprehensive Annuity Plans and Pension Corp.(CAP Pension)

I happen to accompany a friend of mine to one of the CAP Offices here in Cebu for REGION VII located #60 Osmena Blvd., Cebu City. He was to follow up the pension left by his deceased father. Also to note that the sad thing was when I knew that the Pension matured 5 years ago and up until this day the Lump sum money he had been waiting for, for over 5 years, is still in the slightest chance that he would be able to claim it on time for the Holidays this 2011.

When we went there, we checked on the list for available checks posted outside, but his was not included. So we went inside and ask for assistance, one of the office staff approach him and escorted him in the office and reviewed all the papers he have with him. Sent a letter thru fax to their head office and ask him to follow up in a later date. All these office visits, phone calls, he has been doing for 5 years now.

My friend was dismayed because it was already the third time that this letter was faxed and every time he visited or called the office, the very same scenario happens. Still NO STATUS. How come? According to my friend, he already submitted all the necessary documents and filed the claim the year the pension matured way back 2006.

I hope that CAP Pension would give light in to this matter, since it is very very unusual for a money to be held this long. Just imagine putting yourself in his shoes, the money invested by his parent with full confidence of the company that he chose when he was still alive, are not able to meet the need of the beneficiaries.

Money on hold for a long time is being affected by inflation. It may worth much way back 2006 but if it will be released this year 2011 or next year perhaps, it wont have the same purchasing value compared to what it has 5 years ago. Also imagine the possibility of investing it business, that money would have gone far and indeed provide for the needs of my friend.

I visited CAP's website, The First and the Largest CAP FAMILY COMPANIES, and by the looks of their website and all the different services they offer, I don't believe that CAP would not be able to process his claim for this long. Maybe the filed claim was just over looked or misplaced, etc. whatever the reason, I hope CAP Pension would take this matter seriously and in the soonest possible time if they want to rebuild their company's reputation and most importantly provide the service they promised and fulfill their corporate philosophy.

To strive for excellence, to deliver satisfactory service, and to respect work associates.
- read the full CAP Credo on their website here.

For confidentiality purposes, I am not be able to publish the complete details of the account but Authorized CAP Pension representative could request via email blurem23@yahoo.com.

Join us! You can be a part of a great change in the Philippines

Let me start by telling you a simple truth about our country. We are living in a nation that was once full of promises and development surpassing the surrounding neighboring countries, but our country has now become a victim of greed, self interest and corruption, which in turn leads to a very serious disease called poverty. It is a disease that many Filipino people believed to be without cure. And it is sad to say that the very victim of this disease is our future generations.

But what if I tell you that there is still hope? What if I tell you that we still have a chance to make a big difference in the lives of every Filipino people and help cure this disease? Would you like to be a part of this change? The cure starts with YOU.

If you want to be a part of this change then contact me thru 09065120673 and let me talk to you personally on how to become a Filipino hero. If you have a strong sense of love and loyalty to our country and fellow countrymen then you are one of us.

Cebu Search Engine Optimizer

For Affordable Business SEO Service here in Cebu City kindly contact Francis Daniel Maning, email at blurem23(at)yahoo.com contact numbers: 09065120673.

Home based blogger since 2008, and because of blogging I pushed myself to learn SEO or Search Engine Optimization. For me, when it comes to selling things online, then "ITS ALL ABOUT GOOGLE".

By self study, research, and online experiences I have accumulated enough understanding on how to improve visibility on search engines or visibility online. That includes SEM or search engine marketing. Online selling thru Social Media sites. Be able to study keywords based on target market.

I prefer conversions rather than traffic, so I deliver targeted audience to your site so your products will sell. However, I am also capable of helping you improve the traffic of your website and exposure of your products, if you want to do so.

Here in Cebu City or in the entire Philippines, not so many people understand the importance of SEO in businesses and same as not so many Search Engine Optimizers that offer this kind of service. There may be SEO Firms already present in the Philippines, but only the large companies are able to afford for their services.

I charge the cheapest SEO Fee, since I enjoy doing it. I find pleasure in seeing the results.

If you would like to schedule a meeting and talk about my capabilities, just email or text me anytime. You can find my Contact Details above at the beginning of this post.

Aquino Couple (Cory and Ninoy Aquino) in new 500 Peso Bills

Former President Corazon Aquino now joins former Senator Benigno Aquino in the newly circulated 500 Pesos Bill for the Republic of the Philippines.

As far as I know, after a thorough search over the internet. Cory Aquino together with her husband Ninoy Aquino may be the first couple that is printed in paper currency (citations needed thou). This would make this paper bill unique, since it would be the first time that a husband and his wife would appear in printed money.

What if Facebook will close down because it is being sued for $1Billion dollar Law Suit?

Saw it on the news over the internet that Facebook is being sued for a published page about "Third Infitada" that has over 500,000 fans. The Facebook page started as a call for peace to Israel and Palestine and then violent post started coming in making it the reason for Mr. Larry Klayman, an American Citizen with Jewish origin and founder of Freedom Watch to file a law suit against Facebook.

"Third Infitada" or "Third Palestinian Infitada" refers to in English as uprising or rebellion. It already happened twice in Israel and the call for a Third Infitada is a very sensitive political issue.

Infitada is a little like EDSA here in the Philippines where people do different things and sometimes violent ones to achieve something, say for Freedom or Peace. As what my then professor during my college days always say "In order to have Peace there should be War". But I do hope that violence is the thing of the past, and thanks to technology and information we have been able to stop these things from happening.

Facebook should not be sued just because its on the Facebook website, and besides everything you see and discover on Facebook are results of contributed individual opinions. Was it not what we wanted? The FREEDOM of Free Speech?

I cannot imagine Facebook closing down just because it was not used for a good reason. We could not change what people like or dislike. And SOME PEOPLE and maybe MOST PEOPLE nowadays take Facebook so seriously. But lets not forget that Facebook is only a tool to connect with people in our lives.

How Can We Filipinos Really Earn From The Internet?

Hi there!

Glad to have you here on my blog! Hmm.. Let me guess why you are here. Maybe you are searching for ways on how to earn thru the internet. Or maybe you found a link that says "How Can We here in the Philippines earn money thru the internet" and clicked on it.

Interested or not, have you ever wondered how Google, or Facebook, or Friendster, etc. provide free services to users? Well, we all get those free services offered by websites because advertisers pay for advertisements they display on their site.

Look at all those BLUE LINKS above and all over my blog, those are advertisements from GOOGLE ADWORDS. They let me use it thru Google Adsense and Google gives a share to the blog owner whenever users or readers will click on those links.

Google Ads is what we call PPC or pay per click, advertisements paid based on the click counts. There are many other ways to earn thru the internet, but I find PPC to be easy to do. One good thing about Google Adwords is that they display relevant advertising on your blog. Look at those links above, they are all related to this article and more or less its all about earning online. So, why not have a try for yourself and see whats best for you or your website. But just remember, its all about content, reliable information, none spam, and plain common sense. Make your website usable for everyone and unique.

Back Into Writing

I left you because I thought I would not need

The pen in my hands, the thoughts in my head

Where there exist a different light

Different days and different nights

There's never a moment lost in my mind

The thought of writing of any kind

Pretending as hard as i could

That someday I know i should

Would come again facing an essay

Where my mind shall once again say

That dear owner of this head

Release me back alive out of the dead

So someday you would realize

That Francis will summarize

Every word and every sentence

Out of all life's essence

You were born a poet and will live so

Writing as always part of the show

Poems that none may discover

But soon will uncover

Back into writing you come

The pen, the paper, the poem, here they come
